What's unique about TAM ?
Resource
The starting point is the resource.
TAM's silica deposits are neither Tertiary alluvial sands nor quartz rock.
TAM's silica flour formations are unique to Tasmania.
Pre-Cambrian dolomite formations were replaced in-situ in the Devonian period by silica-rich fluids, leached by tannic acid-rich groundwater and weathered over the following millennia to form high purity silica deposits.
The resource enables a product with high specific surface area and unique chemical qualities resulting in superior meltability and high purity.
